"Watch For The Em Dash?" Who's offended by AI and the Em Dash?

Matt Dusig, a fellow LinkedIn connection, put LinkedIn ON FIRE today. He made one simple statement, "Look For The Em Dash." Those are fighting words to the eloquent writer.
The em dash creates a great little tool that most experienced sofisticated writers use as a punctuation to replace the monotony of the commonly used comma or semicolon. It was a sly way to interject a compelling tought. Now it appears to be an indicator that one has used artificial intelligence to write a paper. Not so fast AI. Some of us have been using the em dash long before machine learning thought, it too, was a great tool!
Redemption for the em dash user– em dash users UNITE!
(We asked AI to produce a photo of a collge student using the em dash in a paper. This was the outcome:)

Here was Preferred Talent's response on LinkedIn to the madness:
Watch your language, Sir! 😅 😂 The intense catalyst you've provoked discussing the minute em dash, creates an instant conflagration and genuinely has all of us fired up in some fashion or another. 🧨
I am sorely offended! 😂 I utilized the em dash before AI prompts! Years ago, I was thrilled and discovered that pressing "option" and holding the "dashed button" on my Mac produced the writing em dash. How many people knew of this nugget of juicy information? Leave comments!
Additionally, I inserted old papers from a while ago and it accused me of using AI when those algorithms weren't even applicable to the gravity of what it represents today. The AI model said, "It sounds authored by AI." 🤣 I did NOT use AI! I used God, a handheld dictionary and brainpower!
We are going to need neuroprotective measures, not from physical injury recovery but for the mental aspect, if we allow AI to generate illogical reasoning and skepticism. WE MUST be careful of the ethical and moral use of AI, as well as, its biases, especially when we've been trained in the Ivy League space to produce intense writings.
The LinkedIn fire caused by Matt is now extinguished. 👩🚒 🧯 Carry on. 🙃 Good one, Matt Dusig, that was fire 🔥 . 😄
